When does an employer notify SARS of deregistration?
Employers in South Africa are required to notify the South African Revenue Service (SARS) of deregistration within 21 business days of ceasing to operate or when there are no longer any employees. This notification can be done through the SARS eFiling system or by visiting a SARS branch office.
